Pets

The last time I tried to look for help on pets there wasn't really anything useful, because everything has been updated since then. So here are a few things that could come in handy, and are useful to know.

Buying your pet:

When I searched about pets before, people were saying how you can't see your pet because they were in a box etc. MSP has been updated since then, so yeah.

So, this is a bit obvious but if you're completely stuck, go to pets. Click on either boonies or bonsters. There isn't much difference between them both to be honest, because in the end they both need looking after. However, I recommend you get a boonie, because they are usually less starcoins (not all of the time), I find them way more snazzy looking, and there is much more choice when purchasing one.

But yeah, it's totally up to you.

Oh, one more thing that I'll mention now.

When you buy a pet, you don't have to buy accessories for it. I remember when I got my first pet, I didn't know if I needed to buy it a bed or a jazzy food bowl~ You don't. As long as you feed, clean it and play with it (You'll get given the resources dw) your pet will be happy. But buy some if you like, you just don't have to.

Hatching your pet

For some reason, I've always found other people explaining this really hard to understand.

It's actually really simple.

So, after you've got your pet, you'll have an egg.

Go to your room, and do exactly what you'd do if you had just bought an item. So 'edit' your room.

Where your items show in your room, your egg will be there. Click on it, and put it where you like. (This sounds confusing) I'll get a picture.


When you're ready, save your room and go to it. Click on your egg until it hatches. You will then have a pet!




Caring for your pet

Okay, so once you have your pet, it will need looking after. If your pet is with you in a chat room (to do this, click near where you update your status under animations and select your pet + save), click on your pet and everything will come up. (I'll put a picture).

Basically, all you do is click on your pet. A box will come up and at the top there are 4 icons. A bone, a sponge, a football and a whistle.

Click on the bone, then feed your pet. Each bit of food costs 10 starcoins. Once you have given your pet 4 bits of food, it will be full.

Click on the sponge to wash your pet. Drag the sponge over your pet until it shines. This means it is done.

Then, click the football, and a football will jump near your pet. Click it when it goes away from the pet. When it gets to 100%, it is done.

Now, when I said about the food earlier, I kind of lied~ I give my pets 4 bits of food and it gets full. I do this once a day, however somebody once told me to just feed them once every 7 hours.

So yeah. It doesn't really matter, as long as you look after them enough so that you don't go back and you have to give them medicine (it costs 20 starcoins).

Winning pets

Every so often, there are ways to actually win yourself a boonie. I actually won three of my four pets this way.

There are usually a series of quests to complete, and you'll win starcoins and other little gifts for doing these.

When you've finished everything, you'll get your boonie.

Oh, these happen a few times a year, but they only last a couple of weeks~ So don't miss out!

Other things:

• To name your pet, click on it and underneath the food, clean, play and tricks icon you will be able to create/ rename it.
• Your pet will go up in levels as you look after it.
• Diamonds can be used to make your pets grow.
• Pets can grow anyway when they're at certain levels.
• The whistle icon is for tricks. They will learn tricks as they get to higher levels.
• You can 'love' other people's pets and earn starcoins. Do this by hovering over their pet with the mouse, and clicking the heart.
• The one thing I don't know about pets is how to get them onto a highscores page. I've contacted MovieStarPlanet to try to work out why.
